Production History

“Hey, You Know What…” Started out as an idea from the mind of Ryan Bogner, an out of work actor, looking for something to do. His friends and he had always joked/lamented about how there were so many new Broadway shows coming out that were based on movies and would often discuss silly ideas for new ones.

Seeing this as an opportunity to both comment on what was currently happening on Broadway as well as create work for himself and his friends, Ryan contacted his good friends Jason Michael Snow and Mishaela Faucher with the idea to create an evening of songs from musical versions of movies that would be the most ridiculous ideas they could come up with.

They picked three movies and wrote three songs for each, presenting them with Broadway talent in a self produced, sold-out, concert at the Zipper Factory Theater, in October of 2008.

The concert was a huge success and the trio was asked to do a holiday concert in December of 2008, incorporating new material.

The writers were soon approached by the New York Theatre Barn to produce another concert of their music for the Spring of 2009.
Which played to a sold out house at the Julia Miles Theater.

The trio have since formed a collaboration with playwright Robert Bastron to develop some of their ideas into a full scale book musical, while continuing to perform the cabaret and concert style versions of their show at various venues around the city.
